Generally, refrigerant can be added in three places: condenser, reservoir side of compressor and evaporator.

When the system is started, the liquid refrigerant will continuously impact the cylinder, causing liquid hammer to the compressor, which is extremely fatal to the damage of the compressor. At the same time, after the liquid refrigerant directly enters the compressor, it may adhere to the terminal, causing poor transient insulation and voltage resistance. In the same way, this situation will occur when the liquid refrigerant is added at the evaporator side.

As for the condenser, because of its large volume, it can store enough refrigerant, at the same time, it will not produce adverse consequences when starting, and the charging speed is fast and safe.

After the liquid refrigerant is sealed, the filled liquid refrigerant may condense on the terminal, the insulation impedance of the liquid refrigerant is far less than that of the gaseous refrigerant, and the insulation grade of the whole machine will drop instantly. After operation, the liquid refrigerant evaporates and the insulation will return to normal.
